I didn’t always though.
I was always kind of lukewarm about it. Like I knew it was “out there” where it’s been for the last 130 years...somewhere at the intersection of ‘Maybe One Day’ and ‘When I Get Around To It’.
Then on the whim at the suggestion of a friend, I tried one of their skin creams and I.WAS.SOLD. Don’t get me wrong. I love makeup, and jewelry, and clothing, and garden variety household tchotchkes, but it was the skin care that sold me. Why? Well, I have uneven (but mostly dry), sensitive skin. I also have naturally dark circles under my eyes. And in order to correct all of that garbage, I always thought I had to use a lot of makeup to make my skin look “better”.
Confession: I’m cheap and actually quite lazy when it comes to doing any sort of beauty/skin/makeup rituals...which basically means that I had none up til now lol. Not only that, but I turned 40 in 2018 and I finally accepted the fact that I had to grow up and get an actual skin care routine.
Then I found that using Avon leaves me feeling guilt free because it allows me to keep my firstborn (I do NOT have to sell him after all!), and as a result, I was actually excited about using it.
Then I got “for-real” excited about using Avon once I realized the brand actually you know, works. It’s also a plus that I don’t have to bury my skin in a boatload of makeup to make it look “better” anymore. All that crap on my face was making it worse, much to my own detriment.
So there you have it. Inexpensive skin care products that actually do what they say they’re gonna do. And let’s be honest, I don’t need my skin care regime to lasso the daggon’ moon. I just need it to deliver as stated and not force me to hide it from my husband because of the price (we kinda sorta have a little bit of that Lucy/Ricky thing going on, personality-wise).
That’s why I use Avon products.
As for selling Avon? I won’t lie, I first signed up just to get the discount for myself (don’t we all?!) but then I decided to really get out there and share Avon with others because part of me wont be happy until everyone else tries it and gets as happy-happy joy-joy excited as I did, and still am. :)
